This policy explains how brightlead ("Bright Lead", "we", "us"), registered at 1 Canada Square 37th Floor, Canary Wharf, London, E14 5AA, GBR, uses personal data. We are the data controller. Contact us at hello@bright-lead.co.uk.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us in our application form: name, company name, website, email and mobile number.
- Your answers about your business (certification, install volumes, areas covered, marketing).
- How you found us: ad campaign tags (UTM parameters) and Facebook click IDs in the link you used.
- If you accept cookies: device and browsing data collected by Meta and Google (see our Cookie Policy).
- Notes and emails we exchange with you.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- To assess your application and contact you about it by email, phone and text: your consent, and steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
- To provide our services if you become a client: performance of a contract.
- To measure and improve our advertising: your consent (cookies), and our legitimate interests for aggregated reporting.
- To keep business records and meet legal obligations: legal obligation and legitimate interests.
Under PECR we only send marketing emails or texts where you have agreed, or where you are a corporate subscriber and we are contacting you about relevant business services. You can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
Service providers who help us run the business, under contract: our website and database host, our email provider (Resend), our calendar booking tool, and, if you accept cookies, Meta and Google. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Applications that don't go ahead are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted. Client records are kept for 6 years after our contract ends for tax and legal reasons.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to processing, request portability, and withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@bright-lead.co.uk. You can change cookie choices using "Cookie settings" in the footer. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).
Security
Your data is stored in a secured database with access limited to authorised staff.
